The Tank had the opportunity to sample another one of the wonderul Terrapin Beer Co. brews with the Golden Ale.
It was certainly as tasty as expected but I was surprised that the Dark Star Sunburst burned through my memory as being the benchmark for a Golden Ale and so was slightly dissapointed.

German was on hand from Vancouver to help in making an important decision. What beer was going forward in the Golden Ale category for Beer of the Summer 2008?

Well, well….just did a blind taste and in a big surprise Dark Star SunBurst has come out swinging and has taken out the Hammerpot. Previously, the Tank was loving the Madgwick Gold and that’s why this a big surprise.

Following on from the news of Lewis Hamilton and Goodwood Festival of Speed, it’s only fitting to have a beer that celebrates the Madgwick Cup and Goodwood corner.
This is one easy drinking (half-pinter first sip) Golden Ale…nice tangy bitterness with some gentle hop uplifts.
Definately, goes onto the list for Beer of the Summer 2008.
